It all started in one day. The dog is in the yard and everything seems to indicate that he is enjoying the classic game of tug of war . Chief is staying with his master in the backyard of his residence.
This is the chief rattlesnake that struggled to save his owner
Suddenly, subject is surprised to see Chief throw himself at his feet growling and barking . I don’t know what to attribute this behavior, after all the animal seems to be very happy and in a good mood, why such a sudden change?
Chief kept growling for no apparent reason and the incident happened so quickly that the dog’s owner could not notice anything. He fell back to the ground and when he got up as far as he could, he saw that the chief had something in his snout .
The bite causes severe swelling.
The dog has something long and thin in its mouth. It is not a twig, for it is a flexible object, nor is it his beloved rope, the very thing with which he plays tug-of-war… No! It’s a rattlesnake lurking in the grass, ready to strike!
Chief was able to stop the snake before it dared to harm its owner but unfortunately was bitten in the face by the dog. If you want to save the life of this four-legged hero, his owners must act in time, the time to repay the favor has come.
Chief’s family got him to the vet as soon as possible and they were lucky : the specialist had an antidote and antivenom available so treatment could be started right away. It was a relief to know that the dog’s life was out of danger.
Upon closer examination, they discovered that the dog had been bitten several times by snakes , but unlike the attack on the face which caused terrible swelling, the others were just normal wounds. Apparently the rattlesnake had deposited a lethal amount of poison on its face.
Fortunately, Chief was saved as soon as possible
The sheriff is out of danger! When a dog is bitten by a poisonous snake, it should be treated as soon as possible.
Veterinarians say that the first hour after an incident occurs is crucial . Luckily, the hero of this story is telling it, as is his favorite human!
